Bowerman, the former Oregon track coach and Nike co-founder, mistakenly glued together the iron’s metal plates and apparently disposed of them separately. [2]
The team, which serves Bill Bowerman’s hometown of Fossil in central Oregon, is building a pole-vault pit with funds from Nike. [3]
