The inner workings of long-running ABC drama Desperate Housewives will be the subject of a jury trial beginning this week as former castmember Nicollette Sheridan finally gets a chance to try to prove that ABC and series creator Marc Cherry killed off her character after she spoke up about Cherry’s alleged abuse toward her during rehearsals. Gov. Bob McDonnell signed a bill Tuesday that repeals Virginia’s one-handgun-a-month law, enacted in 1993 when the state was a haven for gun runners. [1]

“Getting rid of the one-handgun-a-month law will make it easier for gun traffickers to purchase handguns in bulk,” she said in a written statement. [2]
