LONDON — A dress worn by the late singer Amy Winehouse on the cover of her album “Back to Black” sold for ?43,200 ($67,500) at auction in London Tuesday. [2]

Present at the Tuesday, November 29 auction in central London, Amy’s father Mitch told CBS News that Disaya, the Thailand-based designer of the dress, has agreed to donate proceeds from the sale to Amy Winehouse Foundation. [1]

According to CBS News, the dress’ designer donated the proceeds from the sale to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was set up by the “Valerie” singer’s family to help vulnerable young people. [4]

Winehouse’s father, Mitch, attended the auction and called the donation a “wonderful start to the foundation,” which was set up to help vulnerable youth following Winehouse’s death in July. [5]

Burger King said it plans to roll out new-and-improved French fries next week, raising the ante in an ongoing battle of upgraded menu items within the quick-service industry. [1]
