The ATL DVD site is where fans of ATL, the film directed by Chris Robinson from a screenplay written by Tina Gordon Chism based upon a story by Antwone Fisher, and starring Tip Harris, Lauren London, Antwan Andre Patton, Mykelti Williamson and Keith David, can preview and order the ATL DVD for purchase. [1]

Really, ATL — like last year’s Roll Bounce — is about roller skating. [2]

ATL is a 2006 American drama film, and the feature film directorial debut of music video director Chris Robinson. [3]

A contradictory approach ultimately muddles the film despite some heartfelt and evocative moments about youngsters growing up on the streets of Atlanta. [2]

While he does his best to keep Ant in school and out of the trouble that’s always lurking just around the corner in their South Atlanta neighborhood, sometimes it seems like a losing battle ‘ Rashad can’t be everywhere at once, and Ant is dangerously close to falling under the spell of a blinged-out local dealer who promises fast money and the respect Ant dreams of getting. [1]

In 2002, Smith served as the linebackers coach for the Baltimore Ravens and before joining the NFL ranks, he spent 12 seasons at Tennessee Tech from 1987-1998. [4]

The screenplay was written by Tina Gordon Chism from an original story by Antwone Fisher, and is loosely based on the experiences of the film’s producers Dallas Austin and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins (of the R&B group TLC) growing up in Atlanta, Georgia. [3]

A tightly knit group of working-class Atlanta teens spend their time bonding over hip-hop and roller skating while pondering life after high school in director Chris Robinson’s coming-of-age comedy drama that draws inspirations from the real-life childhoods of Dallas Austin and Tionne Watkins. [...] Making his feature-film debut, music-video director Chris Robinson expertly choreographs the skating sequences, which are exhilarating fun. [...] Director Chris Robinson maintains a light touch, giving the colorful, energetic skating scenes the benefit of his music-video roots, but he doesn’t neglect character, drawing sincere performances from his young cast.
