Jane Hartley portrayed Wallis Simpson in the 1997 West End musical Always. [1]

Wallis Simpson met the future king (then Prince of Wales) early in the 1930s and a few years later they became lovers, though she remained married to her second husband, businessman Ernest Simpson. [2]

Although the king received the political support from Winston Churchill and Lord Beaverbrook, he was aware that his decision to marry Wallis Simpson would be unpopular with the British public. [3]

My radio play, taken from my short story The Darkness of Wallis Simpson, is built on the premise that Wallis could remember none of it at all. [4]

King Edward was in love with Mrs. Wallis Simpson, not only an American, but also a married woman already once divorced. [5]

That woman was Wallis Simpson, the twice-divorced Baltimorean who then became his bride, the Duchess to his Duke of Windsor. [6]

Wallis Simpson was the American divorcee for whom King Edward VIII gave up the throne of Great Britain. [2]

Wallis Warfield was born in Pennsylvania, United States, on 19th June, 1896. [3]

At a London social event, she was introduced to Edward, the future king of England. [7]

Wallis, Duchess of Windsor (born Bessie Wallis Warfield, later Spencer, then Simpson; 19 June 1896 ‘ 24 April 1986) was an American socialite who married, as her third husband, Prince Edward, Duke of Windsor, formerly King Edward VIII of the British Empire, Emperor of India. [1]

She was the woman who “killed” King George VI by bringing about the abdication of his elder brother, Edward VIII, thereby forcing the poor stammering George (Bertie) to take up a role for which he was far too frail. [4]

Seidler, born in Britain and brought to the United States as a boy during World War II, revered King George VI (Colin Firth) as a steadfast monarch and a personal hero. [6]

They became friends with Lady Thelma Furness, a mistress of the Prince of Wales. [3]

A twice-divorced woman, an American commoner, shook the British Monarchy to its foundations by capturing the heart of its king who then gave up his throne so they could be married. [7]

Instead, the story is about a prince who wanted to be like everyone else. [5]

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) is the standard classification of mental disorders used by mental health professionals in the United States. [1]

The next edition of the DSM, DSM-V, is not scheduled for publication until 2012. [2]

Psychiatric Diagnoses are categorized by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th. [3]

DSM-IV has been designed for use across settings, inpatient, outpatient, partial hospital, consultation-liaison, clinic, private practice, and primary care, and with community populations and by psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational and rehabilitation therapists, counselors, and other health and mental health professionals. [...] For each disorder included in the DSM, a set of diagnostic criteria that indicate what symptoms must be present (and for how long) in order to qualify for a diagnosis (called inclusion criteria) as well as those symptoms that must not be present (called exclusion criteria) in order for an individual to qualify for a particular diagnosis. [1]

An international survey of psychiatrists in 66 countries comparing use of the ICD-10 and DSM-IV found the former was more often used for clinical diagnosis while the latter was more valued for research. [4]

It is intended to be applicable in a wide array of contexts and used by clinicians and researchers of many different orientations (e.g., biological, psychodynamic, cognitive, behavioral, interpersonal, family/systems). [5]

1000 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 1825, Arlington, Va. [2]

It can be used by a wide range of health and mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and other physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational and rehabilitation therapists, and counselors. [5]

“Making a DSM diagnosis” consists of selecting those disorders from the classification that best reflect the signs and symptoms that are afflicting the individual being evaluated. [1]

Since the next major revision of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V) will not appear until 2012 (i.e., at least 18 years after DSM-IV was published in 1994), a text revision of DSM-IV, called DSM-IV-TR, was published in July 2000. [2]

ICD-10 Chapter V: Mental and behavioural disorders, part of the International Classification of Diseases produced by the World Health Organization (WHO), is another commonly used guide, more so in Europe and other parts of the world. [4]

These diagnostic codes are derived from the coding system used by all health care professionals in the United States, known as the ICD-9-CM. [1]

Representing 38,000 physician leaders in mental health. [2]

Mental Health Professionals use this manual when working with patients in order to better understand their illness and potential treatment and to help 3rd party payers (e.g., insurance) understand the needs of the patient. [3]

Keane performing live in Washington D.C, United States in 2009. [1]

For their 2008 album “Perfect Symmetry ” and the following tour, Jesse Quin joined the band on stage to play bass. [2]

Driven by literate, heart-tugging anthems like Somewhere Only We Know, Everybody’s Changing and Bedshaped, the record catapulted Keane to global success, selling almost six million copies and picking up countless awards (indeed, even in 2010 it has been nominated for the Best British Album of 30 Years award at the Brits). [3]

Keane are an English alternative rock band from Battle, East Sussex, formed in 1997. [1]

Compared to their debut, it was a dark, brooding affair, powered by the hurt and frustration of a band stretched to breaking point by two years of constant touring. [3]

Keane are known for using a piano as their lead instrument instead of guitars, significantly differentiating them from most rock bands. [2]

Keane achieved mainstream success with the release of their debut album, Hopes and Fears, in 2004. [1]

Another definite standout on Night Train is Ishin Denshin (You’ve Got To Help Yourself), an addictive electro-pop cover of the Yellow Magic Orchestra song which features Japanese baile funk MC Tigarah. [3]

Keane is an English piano rock band, first established in Battle, East Sussex in 1995, taking their current name in 1997. [2]

Taking its title from the band’s favoured mode of transport during the tour (the Moscow to St Petersburg train was particularly memorable), it demonstrates yet another sure-footed sonic swerve. [...] Playlists may contain up to 100 songs. [...] The three members of Keane - Tom Chaplin, Tim Rice-Oxley and Richard Hughes - began making music together as teenagers in sleepy East Sussex. [3]

Keane’s first two studio albums, Hopes And Fears and Under The Iron Sea, achieved great success in the United Kingdom upon release and very high sales worldwide: their multi-award-winning debut was the best-selling British album of 2004 and their follow-up sold 222,297 copies during its first week on sale in June 2006. [2]

In April 2005, in the middle of the Hopes and Fears tour, the band began recording their second album, Under the Iron Sea with producer Andy Green, who also worked with them previously on Hopes and Fears. [1]

Over three days in a London studio, Keane and K’Naan created the irrepressible Stop For A Minute and the Rocky-inspired Looking Back. [3]
