7chan is a 2ch style art community. [1]

… most users consider these mods to be friendly because of their lack of mental deficiencies (unlike 4chan’s moot), tolerance towards lolicon and their intolerance towards furry sexy time pix. [2]

New to the 2ch community was the existence of an invasion (/i/) board, a section solely designated for site raids and vandalism, with Habbo Hotel, and any furry board/forum as their favorite, recurring targets. [1]

This however, is unlikely due to 7chan’s /fur/ (Furry) board. [3]

Unlike the lame pool of cookie-grade messages in 4chan’s Fortune, 7chan opted for fortunes based on memes and Engrish, often dooming the fortune-ee to a fate of surprise buttsecks or worse. [2]

The image boards on 7chan are reasonably slower on 7chan compared to 4chan, yet a lot of the users prefere the slower pace, as popular threads don’t get bumped off the boards as fast as on the much more active 4chan. This situation changed almost a year later, August 23rd, during “4chan’s 2006 /b/ exodus” (or /b/day,) when 4chan moderators started to strictly enforce its previously neglected rules on posting illegal content, private forum/wiki raids (such as the ones on Wikifur), and posting personal information, which caused a reasonable amount of its users to flock to the present board, especially since raids were one of the many things 4chan was infamous for. As 4Chan frequently experiences downtime for no useful reason, 7Chan has become quite popular, as it’s downtime is limited to the odd day or so, and is only when the site/servers are being upgraded. [3]

Even with this split, both boards’ /b/ communities continue to share related memes, terminology, and image macros. [1]

One of the few imageboards that directly seperates itself from Anonymous and having abandoned their heritage and gone through so much internet struggle, 7chan is now an underpopulated pile of boards. [...] The deep-seated nature of this rivalry causes minor outbreaks of interchan conflict occasionally, though usually such occurrences are minor, such as a couple of 4channers posting furry on 7chan’s /b/ in order to annoy them.
