who won project runway season 8

Friday, October 29th, 2010

In last night’s Project Runway, designers were told to pull inspiration from Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. [1]

Project Runway Season 1 was the first season of Project Runway, Bravo ’s reality competition show for fashion designers. [2]

Debuting December 1, 2004 on cable’s Bravo network, the 60-minute “reality” series Project Runway had much in common with UPN’s America’s Next Top Model–except that, instead of focusing on the people who wore the fancy clothes, this series zeroed in on the people who put the clothes together in the first place. [3]

Project Runway Season 8 is the eighth season of the television show Project Runway. [4]

Their designs are judged, and one or more designers are eliminated each week. [3]

The season included 17 designers at the beginning of the competition. [4]

He was one of the final three designers to show his collection at New York Fashion Week for the chance to.. [5]

The new season kicked off on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at a new time at 9PM ET/PT - with an expansion to 90 minutes - with 17 new designer contestants vying for top prizes and a chance to premier their collection at New York Fashion Week. [6]

As his prize for winning the competition among 12 designers, McCarroll won $100,000, a mentorship with Banana Republic to aid in developing his own fashion label, and a feature of his work in the American edition of ELLE magazine. [2]

Hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, who also executive produced, the show brought together twelve talented but untested fashion designers, who went through a weekly ritual of tasks challenges to determine which of the dozen would win $100,000, a whole slew of prizes, a slot at the annual Olympus Fashion Week in New York, his or her own line of clothes, and the tutelage of the trendy clothing chain Banana Republic. [3]

This episode was also the most obvious thus far of Garnier Fructis product-placement, giving the hair guy almost as much air time as the designers and the clothes. [1]

Much like the volcanic ash plumes from Iceland, the tears seemed to flow on and on and on as Season 7 of “Project Runway” and Heidi Klum said “aufedersein” last night. [7]

When push came to shove, the judges picked the top 3 outfits as Jonathan, Maya, and Seth Aaron. [1]

I suspect producers felt no one would need time to process the winner, Seth Aaron, which was a no-brainer. [7]

First, before dissecting the Project Runway Episode 8 outfits for the good, the bad, and the scary, the results. [1]

pumpkin carving designs

Friday, October 29th, 2010

You’ve come to the right place for Halloween Pumpkin Carving! [1]

You can carve some truly beautiful and artistic pumpkins freehand, but if you want to create really detailed carvings you’ll want to use a pumpkin pattern. [2]

Each pattern design has been carefully crafted to work easily with traditional cut-out pumpkin carving techniques. [3]

While you can muddle through some of the simpler designs with serrated knives, tablespoons and a small nail, you’ll be well served investing in some pumpkin carving tools if you plan on attempting some of the more detailed designs. [4]

This site features pumpkin templates that will challenge advanced pumpkin carvers as well as simpler stencils that will entertain beginner carvers. [5]

Oozing from the brain of your patch master Ryan, come these entirely original pumpkin patterns. [6]

Zombie Pumpkins offers its own breed of pumpkin carving patterns. [3]

You will notice that many of the patterns that are labeled “advanced” have an area marked with hatching (see example at right). [5]

Remember, a great pumpkin carving design stems from having a combination of proper carving saws, the appropriate transfer method and a fun pattern design. [7]

A step beyond triangle eyes, these should put a smile on the face of any jack o’ lantern purist. [6]

Some sort of Carving Saw is essential for carving fine, detailed areas when using a pumpkin pattern to carve a Jack-O-Lantern. [2]

Designed for watermelon carving, tropical treats and patriotic patterns for the summer season. [6]

Well, I love letting the girls design their perfect triangular eyed and one-tooth mouthed pumpkins but as they get older they’re starting to want fancier designs on their Halloween masterpieces. [4]

Coat the inside and exposed edges with petroleum jelly or a spray-on preserver like PumpkinFresh.com to help your Jack O’ Lantern last as long as possible. [2]

Traditional Halloween designs, classic and modern movie monsters, television and music heroes, kid friendly characters… they’re all here. [3]

[...] “In many countries, dealers are required to provide the hard-of-hearing with a choice of devices by different manufacturers,” explains Dr. Gerhard R?hrlein, in charge of research and development at S.A.T.. [...] It consisted of a battery, microphone and receiver’plus a handbag or carrying case (see poster, above). [...] Even a brand-new hearing aid battery packs only 1.6 V, and often puts out as little as 0.9 V during operation. [...] Since the 1960s, electronics have migrated into the immediate vicinity of the ear. [...] This initial design is then perfected by a technician, who can observe the model while rotating it about any axis on a display screen, to ensure that it will fit precisely within the virtual canal.
