[...] It just doesn’t feel engineered like say, the Ford C1 platform or the Golf platform, you really get the impression it’s dated (and the platform is, if my memory’s correct it was a mere evolution of the older Camry’s), and moreso than the present C130-based Focus. hutaree militia group

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Years later, the private devotions had evolved into a small militia of “Christian warriors” preparing to fight the Antichrist. [1]

According to court documents, the Hutaree deemed police “foot soldiers” of the federal government ‘ which in turn was part of the new world order, a perpetual bogeyman of militia groups. [2]

Suspected in a conspiracy to attack police officers are, from left to right, top row: David Stone, Sr.; David Stone, Jr.; Tina Stone and Jacob Ward. [3]

Prosecutors believe that Stone, 44, of Clayton, is the ringleader of the Hutaree militia, a name the group’s Web site says they created to mean “Christian warrior.” [1]

- David B. Stone Sr. and his wife, Tina, made no secret about the fact that they were part of a militia, neighbors say. [4]

North Adams — When Joshua Stone got word Saturday that his father and other members of his Christian paramilitary group had been arrested, he knew where to turn. [5]

The Hutaree Web site quotes several Bible passages and declares: “We believe that one day, as prophecy says, there will be an Anti-Christ. [1]

Stone was the last arrested of the nine people who federal authorities believe were plotting to attack law enforcement in hopes of fomenting a larger conflict between militia groups and government forces. [5]

The authorities said the group was apparently formed in August 2008, and was divided into separate units led by Stone and one of his sons, Joshua, 21, who remains at large. [2]

A Michigan State Police officer guards a road block on Tomer Street after a FBI of raid of a suspected militia leader’s home in Clayton, Mich., Sunday, March 28, 2010. [6]

On Monday, federal authorities charged nine alleged Hutaree members with seditious conspiracy and attempted use of weapons of mass destruction. [2]

In an indictment unsealed Monday, prosecutors said the group began military-style training in the Michigan woods in 2008, learning how to shoot guns and make and set off bombs. [3]

Dudley was one of several people involved in the standoff in Hillsdale County’s North Adams who spoke Tuesday with The Detroit News. [5]

Then there was also the shooting in Pittsburgh of a rabid Alex Jones fan who was afraid that the government was going to take away his guns. [7]

The FBI said Sunday that agents conducted weekend raids in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio and arrested at least three people. [6]
