FORT MYERS: Tropical Depression Eleven formed this morning in the extreme Southwest Caribbean, off the coast of Nicaragua and an Air Force Hurricane Hunter aircraft quickly confirmed that Tropical Storm Ida has formed. [1]

At 10:00am, the center of Hurricane Ida was located about 75 miles north of Bluefields, Nicaragua and about 65 miles south-southwest of Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua. [2]
