I sat with J.J. Carroll’s 4th grade class at Fernbank Elementary, a DeKalb County school, to watch the president’s speech at noon today. [2]

“Get Schooled” profiles three real-life people with different social, economic and racial backgrounds, including Kelly Clarkson’s Music Director, LeBron James’ Marketing Manager and a speechwriter for President Barack Obama. [1]

They were in full agreement with the president on that point. [...] With nearly four out of 10 Georgia students dropping out of high school, I wish everyone would talk to them about the value of an education, the bus driver, the cable guy, the lunchroom lady. [2]

This is the first programming ‘roadblock’ of any kind across all Viacom networks including BET, MTV, VH1, CMT, COMEDY CENTRAL, Spike TV and Nickelodeon. One of the most passionate letters came from a Cherokee employee disappointed with the letter sent to parents by Superintendent Frank R. Petruzielo. [...] The AJC is reporting another robbery of a college student in the downtown area, this time a GSU student held up by gunpoint heading back to his dorm shortly after midnight. [2]
