Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day takes place Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at the USTA Bille Jean King National Tennis Center. [4]

This day is a summer highlight whether your kid loves tennis, wants to learn about tennis, or just wants to run around and hear some music. [5]

Plus see exciting tennis matches and contests with former US Open champions Serena Williams, Andy Roddick and Maria Sharapova plus Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, Kim Clijsters, James Blake and Novak Djokovic. [6]

Day featured interactive games for children of all ages as well as a stadium show featuring the biggest names in tennis, entertainment and music. [3]

The event is presented by Hess and produced by the USTA in honor of tennis legend Ashe, whose mission was to introduce kids to tennis while simultaneously using the sport to reinforce values such as humanitarianism, leadership and academic excellence. [4]

The festivities are set for Saturday, August 23 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y., from 9:30 a.m. [1]
