Back in April, Eli Roth (Hostel) revealed that he was asked by Quentin Tarantino to direct a mini-movie called “Stolz der Nation (Nation’s Pride),” which will be included in the upcoming “Inglourious Basterds” film. [1]

Stolz der Nation (en: Pride of the Nation) is a fictional Nazi propaganda film that appears in Inglourious Basterds. [3]

The Tarantino Archives got some major exclusives from the Inglourious Basterds set and one of them is the artwork for the film within the film, Stolz der Nation aka Pride of the Nation! [4]

When I posted the report from the set of Inglourious Basterds (click here to read it if you haven’t checked it out yet), I included some candid pictures of the set that were sent to me, and one of them showed a marquee poster of “Stolz der Nation “, which is gracing the outside of the notorious cinemateque. “Nation’s Pride” plays at “Le Gammar Theater in Paris on August 21, which is clever, winky code for the same day that “Inglourious Basterds” hits theaters worldwide. [6]

It’s supposed to be the trailer for a 1940’s era film and yet it has titles that are more contemporary than 70’s homage Deathproof or Roth’s Thanksgiving segment for that matter. [1]

Sure, you probably see more “Nation’s Pride” footage in this trailer than you do in all of ‘Inglourious,’ but that’s probably besides the point. [6]

- Apple (via First Showing) has released an English dubbed trailer for German propaganda film Nation’s Pride starring Nazi hero Fredrick Zoller (played by Daniel Br?hl). [7]

I have no idea why it’s so important to get the word out six months early on this film, especially since they’re still filming it, but apparently it will debut during Thursday’s Entertainment Tonight. [2]

This movie within the movie was of directed by Eli Roth, who pulled all sorts of filmmaking tricks on this little movie. [4]

The film’s star is Fredrick Zoller, a German war hero (played by Daniel Br?hl), the director is called Alois von Eichberg. [3]
