President Obama will throw out the first pitch at the MLB All-Star Game in St. Louis July 14, becoming the fourth sitting president to do so (Kennedy, Nixon, and Ford being the others). [1]
Hopefully, King Obama will set-up a Office of Disapproval Department with a Czar who will heard us all to the correct “disapproval areas” where people will not be offended by us “unsportsmanlike serfs”. [2]
But GP’s embedded video doesn’t show how President Cupcake’s pitch fell short of the plate and misses the fact that the catcher scooped it up on a short hop. [...] Though Obama was roundly cheered by the All-Star fans, his live presence still didn’t attract the applause that George W. Bush did during a taped announcement by the four previous Presidents before the game and some boos could even be heard among the cheers. [3]
Thanks to Obama, America remains the only country where it is illegal to drill our own oil! [4]
I wish I could afford to go to a game or two this season, but I have other priorities. Obama is no stranger to St. Louis–he held a massive, record-breaking campaign rally there under the Gateway Arch in October, drawing 100,000; he spent his 100th day as president there, holding a town hall meeting, talking about the economy, health care, and energy/the environment in the suburbs.
