lelacheur park

Edward A. Lelacheur Park is a baseball park located on the banks of the Merrimack River in Lowell, Massachusetts. [1]

Eventually, LeLacheur Park, took over the site. [2]

LeLacheur Park will be in front of you. [3]

Tickets will also be available at the LeLacheur Park box office starting Tuesday, April 21. [4]

Edward A. LeLacheur was the legislature that basically got this park for both the University of Massachusetts Lowell and the Spinners, originally from Elmira, NY. [2]

Most of the players donning the Spinners uniform are in their first year of pro ball, many of them drafted just two weeks before the abbreviated 76-game season begins in June. [5]

The stadium also features the Giant Hood Milk Jug from Fenway Park and all Red Sox retired numbers. [1]

If I needed to give this stadium a nickname, it would be “The Great Disappointer”. [2]

LeLacheur Park was designed by HOK Sports (the same firm that built Camden Yards in Baltimore) at a cost of $10.4 million. [5]

It is home to the Lowell Spinners of the New York-Penn League. [1]

Follow Thorndike St. through the lights and go past City Hall. [3]

You can see the Merrimack River over the left field wall and the rustic looking Aiken Street Bridge over right. [2]

Named after a local civic leader who spearheaded the initial redevelopment of Lowell, the park was built adjacent to the residential section of UML. [1]

Even though it was built in 1998, it blends in with the environment. [2]

The ballpark on UMass Lowell’s East Campus - designed by the same firm as the renowned Camden Yards in Baltimore and Coors Field in Colorado - offers a unique open-air concert venue on the banks of the Merrimack River complete with comfortable seating, a wide variety of concessions and convenient parking.
