October 01, 2007 03:50 AM EDT — Hi Everyone, I just thought I’d take a second to recommend one of my favorite romance writers, Laura London. [1]

Anyone who is a fan of Laura London will have read her masterpiece “the Windflower”, in my opinion the greatest romance novel ever written (see reviews for confirmation). [2]

One of the best historical romance novels of all time., [3]

[...] Kit is remarkably like Cat from Windflower and Lord Peterby, Dearborne’s rakish friend, is a facsimile for Morgan from windflower. [...] The story is of a young country girl named Elizabeth, beautiful, orphaned and living off the largesse of her father’s friend. [2]

I’ve been reading “historical romance” for 35 years and have never read a better written book. [3]

[...] The plot is wonderfully supported by an astonishing array of secondary characters, including Elizabeth’s young twin sisters, and a boy named Kit Warrington who is Dearborne’s ward–the mystery is largely due to Kit’s presence. [2]

It is filled with humour, whimsey, and characters that are so well drawn that you want to spend the rest of your life with them. [3]

“A Heart too Proud” comes close to reaching the perfection found in windflower. [2]

This novel set the bar so high for romance novels that other authors are hardpressed to come even close. [3]

I really detest novels where the hero is all knowing and wise to the ways of the world, and the heroine is a silly, completely innocent youngster who has to be rescued over and over again. [2]
