studio 54

It also stars Mike Myers as Steve Rubell, the cofounder of Studio 54, a New York City disco club famous in the late 1970s and the setting for the film. [1]

Well, Studio 54 will forever reign as the hottest, most elite and outrageous, one-of-a-kind “mother of all nightclubs”. [2]

For More About NYC’s Famed Studio 54! [3]

Let’s start first with nightclub basics, the things everybody has (although Studio 54 does do them all very nicely). [4]

All the while, 2 entrepreneurs were busy trying to find a place where they too could cash in on the wave of change - Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager. [...] I never had the opportunity to go there, you see, I was 11 years old when the club opened. [5]

This might seem like a ridiculous thing to mention, but after you’ve stood nine-deep in line to get your Bud Light at some other club, Studio 54 and their many bars will seem like a blessing. [4]

During its early reign, Studio 54 was like real-life theatre, with a fascinating cast of characters being selected for each night’s grand cabaret performance party from the multitudes clamouring to get past the famed velvet ropes. [2]

The club and owners are busted by 50 IRS Agents after being tip-offed by a disgruntled former employee and an article in a November 12, 1979 issue of New York Magazine. [...] I do know people that had the once in a lifetime chance to be a part of the biggest party probably ever thrown in New York City. [5]

The film was directed by Mark Christopher who also wrote the screenplay. [1]

Because it’s Vegas and people come to Vegas to party, most clubs have at least a little bit of a crowd, but Studio 54’s is unique in that it’s diverse. [4]

Ryan Phillippe, star of the 1998 movie “54″ is born in New Castle, Delaware. [5]

Based on two short films he had made, Mark Christopher persuaded Miramax to back a movie about Studio 54. [1]
