Late Friday, gaming blog Kotaku and Australian website Smarthouse both reported they’ve received word from Sony that the company is planning to make a big announcement tomorrow. [3]

Sony’s new Digital Single Lens Reflex (D-SLR) camera, the a700, takes professional photography to the next level with a 12.24-Megapixel Exmor’ CMOS sensor, powered by an enhanced Bionz’ image processing engine, and 5 frames per second continuous shooting performance. [1]

Both cameras feature new technologies that make picture taking faster, easier, and more familiar for first-time DSLR users. [2]

Up to three combinations of as many as 26 different shooting parameters can be stored in memory and instantly applied by turning the mode dial to Memory Recall (MR). [1]

I’m not sure who these tipping analysts are, but having analyzed the situation myself, I don’t think a PS3 price-cut announcement or new browser is happening tomorrow. [3]

The beautifully-styled H3 is the smallest ever Cyber-shot featuring a Carl Zeiss 10x zoom lens (38-380mm equivalent; F3.5-4.4). [4]

The D-Range Optimiser bracketing that records the image at three different optimization levels allows for easy selection of the best shot. [1]

Sony’s innovative Pentamirror Tilt mechanism directs light to a dedicated live view image sensor, enabling fast and responsive TTL phase-detection auto-focusing, even during live view. [...] The DSLR-A300 model can shoot about three continuous frames per second and the DSLR-A350 model can shoot up to two-and-a-half continuous frames per second, when using the optical viewfinder. [...] SAN DIEGO, Jan. 30, 2008 - Sony is bringing live-view shooting to its digital SLR camera line with today’s introduction of a 14.2-megapixel a (alpha) DSLR-A350 camera and 10.2-megapixel α (alpha) DSLR A300 model. [2]

Magnification is boosted further still by the 17x HD Smart Zoom (in 16:9 shooting mode) for powerful telephoto images that can be enjoyed with stunning quality on a large HD-Ready television. [4]

By following their unique visions, each of the photographers created the images in a gallery that is on display today at the PhotoPlus Expo in New York City’s Jacob Javits Convention Center. [5]
