Bewitched Movie Needs to be Redone! [1]

Although it is a family film, it was rated PG-13 in the US, and PG in the UK and Australia. [2]

The movie isn’t technically a “remake” of “Bewitched,” since the witch played by Nicole Kidman isn’t the Samantha Stevens of the series but rather a single woman named Isabel Bigelow who gets to PLAY Samantha Stephens on TV. [1]

After a nasty break-up with his wife and several failed attempts to revive his floundering film career, washed up actor Jack Wyatt (Will Ferrell) is ready to take his life back. [3]

She meets a failing movie star named Jack Wyatt (Will Ferrell) who wants to find an unknown actress to play a witch ‘ and his wife ‘ in a TV show, a modern adaptation of the classic TV show Bewitched, a ploy whereby the egocentric actor can eclipse his co-star and claim the spotlight entirely. [2]

Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell as Samantha and Darrin Stephens in Nora Ephron’ Bewitched. [4]

Written by Nora Ephron & Delia Ephron. [5]

It is about a witch named Isabel Bigelow (Nicole Kidman) who wants to give up magic and have a normal life, despite her magic-loving father’s (Michael Caine) warnings that she cannot live without it. [2]

Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Maria and Nina are counseling Isabel in her trailer, Maria is holding a plant. [1]

Heed my advice before seeing Bewitched: It may fly like a witch and twitch like a witch, but it’s certainly not the beloved Bewitched. [...] Bewitched, the movie, suffers from the same problem that plagues the filming of the television show it depicts. [3]

The overriding problem with this film is that it completely undercuts the very elements that made Samantha such a likable and compelling figure for millions of spellbound American viewers. [1]

In Columbia Pictures’ beguiling romantic comedy, Bewitched, an all-star cast led by Nicole Kidman, Will Ferrell, Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine cast their spell on the movie version of one of TV’s most memorable and beloved shows under the direction of Nora Ephron, who co-wrote the screenplay with Delia Ephron for producers Douglas Wick, Lucy Fisher, Penny Marshall and Nora Ephron. [5]

Isabel’s father Nigel (Michael Caine) calls her role on the show an insult to their way of life, but Isabel’s excited about the part because it makes her feel needed. [3]

It was written, produced, and directed by Nora Ephron and featured as co-stars Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell. [2]

After the initial shock was over, he agreed to stick by the marriage only if Samantha promised to never use her powers again. [1]

Equally determined was her mortal husband Darrin Stephens, a talented advertising executive with McMann & Tate. [2]

The Bewitched TV show was a 30 minute fantasy/comedy series on ABC about a mortal man (Darrin Stevens) who falls in love with and marries a Witch (Samantha). [1]

At the very center of this classic show was Elizabeth Montgomery’s portrayal of a beautiful, good-hearted witch named Samantha, a character rare in 1960’s television. [2]

The movie isn’t technically a “remake” of “Bewitched,” since the witch played by Nicole Kidman isn’t the Samantha Stevens of the series but rather a single woman named Isabel Bigelow who gets to PLAY Samantha Stephens on TV. [3]

Disapproving of mixed marriages between mortals and witches, Samantha’s powerful mother, Endora, was determined to prove to Samantha that the marriage was a tremendous mistake. [2]

The book includes 40 pages + hard stock cover with more than 60 references, which follows the journey of the Bewitched cast through Salem, Gloucester, and Magnolia. [4]

The black and white episodes culminated with the birth of their first daughter, Tabitha. [2]

A witch married to an ordinary man cannot resist using her magic powers to solve the problems her family faces. [5]

The show starred Elizabeth Montgomery, Dick York (1964′1969), Dick Sargent (1969′1972), Agnes Moorehead and David White. [6]

We offer original articles, photos and sounds, as well as unique games. [4]

Premise: An enchanting sitcom about beautiful, nose-twitching witch Samantha Stevens, who moves to the suburbs to be with her strait-laced mortal husband, Darrin. [7]

This article is about an American television sitcom. [6]

The Salem News recently reported on Bill Asher, Jr.’s trip to Salem, MA. [...] The set includes all 12 episodes of the series, as well as another pilot episode featuring Liberty Williams as Tabatha. [4]

Robert De Niro projects his subtitles like a pro, with his occasional outburst in the right place; James Woods gives one of his first great performances as Max; Elizabeth McGovern is the heart of the film; and Joe Pesci should’ve had more than just a one scene appearance, thought it’s still good. [1]

Politically, no group is left unsatirized: from the idiotic faux-country patriotic music, to know-it-all leftie actors being portrayed as goon puppets (the more self-important members of the Tim Robbins and Sean Penn fan clubs may want to skip this), no group escapes without being ridiculed. [2]

Factual errors: When the cargo floats to the surface in the scene in the harbour, the crates are floating with the balloons on top out and of the water, offering no extra buoyancy and therefore not needed. [...] James Woods said Robert De Niro suggested that Woods wear a set of perfect, bright white teeth to demonstrate the aging character’s wealth and vanity. [1]

In the first scene in which he appears, you can see his eyes blinking. [...] Popular Broadway actor Gary Johnston is recruited by the elite counter-terrorism organization Team America: World Police. [2]

A former Prohibition-era Jewish gangster returns to Brooklyn over 30 years later, where he once again must confront the ghosts and regrets of his old life. [...] Crime, passion and lust for power - Sergio Leone’s explosive saga of gangland America. [...] It’s a story of life-long friends, in the tradition of the Godfather movies with obvious differences, and the story cuts back and forth to Noodles (De Niro) in his old age returning from exile, looking back on his childhood in Brooklyn, his rise to power with his partners, and the twists come quite unexpectedly.
