naan kadavul review

Ilayaraja’s music will be a great adornment to Naan Kadavul. [1]

On the whole, though, Naan kadavul gets a booster shot of expectation with this rich, atmospheric soundtrack. [2]

Indeed, Maestro Ilayaraja has been the most intensifying factor for Bala’s success and ‘Naan Kadavul’ wouldn’t be an elision. [...] An interlude involving cantillates of ‘Rudhra…’ accompanied with single-noted Veena starts-off the song, evoking penchant. [3]

A noticeable fact about the song is that it is entirely composed in Sanskrit (need to confirm this, but lyrics is nowhere in Tamil). [4]

‘Kannil Paarvai’ is a song filled with desperate ambience. [5]

Arya, Pooja, Rajendran, Azhagm Thamizhmani and over 175 new faces come together for director Bala’s Naan Kadavul. [6]

On hearing the songs of Naan Kadavul for the first time, I sensed the underlying theme in the songs is one of either theism or empathy with the blind and the weak. [...] With a mood of pathos, a nice melodious tune, yearning voice of Shreya Goshal and the simple, powerful lyrics will make one empathize with the plight of blind orphans. [4]

Thenappan came forward to give financial backing but soon after the film’s pooja, there were differences of opinion between director and hero and Arya came in place of Ajith. [1]

At some points in the song, I thought Shreya’s voice was too high pitched and the words at those moments were not legible as they were in the other segments - which get exposed more so because Ilayaraja sings the same song in his own voice later in the album. [4]

Bala has done his homework with utmost effort to bring out such trivial details before naming his movie and the tag line. [1]

Madha Un Kovil: Nothing exceptional… Sounds like a 40 sec signature tune and if our guesses are right, it must be an intro number for the female lead. [3]

After a long period of time director bala is returning with a movie NAAN KADAVUL. [7]

Thundering instrumentations of Sankha and fine-tuned intonations of Tabla with Vijay Prakash’s steep voice carried on with carnatic shades makes it sound so influential to listeners. [3]
