what s wrong with yahoo

In past few weeks that has emerged as the single issue many Yahoo employees have discussed with me. [1]

But for some reason, the index quotes on Yahoo Finance are stuck at their levels from earlier this afternoon, and show the Dow down 215 and the Nasdaq down 38. [2]

Throughout these past weeks of the Yahoo! proxy fight, we’ve heard a lot of opinions about Yahoo! from lots of stakeholders except one group: current Yahoo.s. [3]

For years, Yahoo has provided the Internet community with reasonably well maintained, stable services in the form of Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Groups and Yahoo messenger. [4]

Therefore, I would like to offer this blog “Breakout Performance” for such a purpose — pointing out what’s right and what’s wrong with Yahoo! To do so, feel free to comment anonymously to this post. [...] But, we have never really heard from the Yahoo! employees through these haggard last few weeks. [3]

If Microsoft is supposed to sort out all of the initiatives that Yahoo! has undertaken and fix them… We are in trouble. [5]

Something weird is happening - again - with the stock index quotes on Yahoo Finance. [2]

For years, Yahoo groups (formerly known as eGroups) provided efficient and well organised services to hundreds and thousands of mailing lists, clubs, groups of people, etc. [4]

Look at some of the public statements by those who have left recently and you will realize that the rot is very deep seated in this company. [1]

For example, Jerry says that Yahoo! has a plan and is executing against it. [3]

Yahoo! is making changes to its technology organization, led by Chief Technology Officer Ari Balogh, to better position the company to execute on its strategic priorities. [1]

We’ve even heard from the stock analysts and industry analysts — even though they have no skin in the game (although neither do some members of Yahoo.’s board — but Mr. Bostock and Mike Callahan assured us on Friday that those board members now follow a rule that they have 3 years in which to get some skin in the game). [3]

Just sit back and watch as your brand new, unknown account starts filling up with spam. [4]
